Beyond their musical endeavors, Gloria and husband Emilio Estefan’ Estefan Enterprises is a major real estate, restaurant and hotel enterprise based in Florida. As many of those businesses suffer temporary shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Estefans have partnered with CVS Health to match up to 300 of their employees in South Florida, Orlando and Vero Beach with immediate employment.

They include Estefan employees who faced lay-offs at Estefan Kitchens in Miami and Orlando and the Cardozo Hotel in South Beach.

“We’ve all been faced with making very difficult and unfathomable decisions as we navigate our way through this crisis, said Emilio Estefan in a statement. “Gloria and I are doing everything in our power to find opportunities for our employees and we are very grateful to CVS Health for partnering with our companies.”

Even as many businesses suffer the effects of COVID-19 shutdowns, others, like CVS, have had to hire new workers to meet demands. The health care company recently announced it was embarking on the most ambitious hiring drive in its history, with plans to immediately fill 50,000 full-time, part-time and temporary jobs across the country.
