“Hello from Belize, Breaking the Band addicts! Last year I told my managers that I wanted to take 2020 off from touring so I could focus on my writing. Be careful what you wish for!” While I do live in paradise, Belize has some of the strictest laws in effect during this Covid crisis. The borders are closed so there is no leaving (I’m slowly turning into a raisin!), mandatory mask wearing in public ($5,000 fine, 2nd offense imprisonment), 8pm curfew and all the other usual stuff. As a result, this little country is one of the few in the world that is now Covid free…but we are freedom free, too.

As far as my writing goes, I’ve finished my first novel (looking for a publisher now) and I am working on screenplays that I will be directing once the movie industry reopens. That should be fun…as long as the actors don’t have to wear masks and social distance on camera!

MOST IMPORTANTLY, a lot of people are discovering and catching up on the show I narrate for REELZ,”Breaking the Band!” It so cool that viewers are enjoying these mini-docs about the breakups of some of the biggest bands in the world. I know my rock, but I learn stuff with every episode I do the voice over for. More new episodes will be coming later this year and rumor has it one of them is on the break-up of my own band, Twisted Sister. Mmm? Me narrating a show about me breaking up my own band. Well, that should be interesting…

So until we rock again, stay safe, stay happy…stay REELZ!
