“As a Showunner and Writer at AMS Pictures in Dallas, Texas, I’ve had the good fortune of producing many types of non-scripted programming for over 14 years. But I have to admit, producing Murder Made Me Famous, The Price of Fame and Scandal Made Me Famous for REELZ has been the best time of my career! I’ve learned more than I’ve ever dreamed of about some of America’s most notorious people. During the pandemic, we’ve also been working on a series of celebrity bio-docs for REELZ that have, thankfully, kept us busy. We also found creative ways to produce from home with children and pets under-foot!
The best thing the quarantine has taught me is how to save money! With nail and hair salons shut down, I’ve learned to do mani-pedis and even color my hair at home (thanks, YouTube!). I’m even running outside now versus going to the gym. These are new money-saving habits that I’ll definitely continue for years to come.
I’m excited for the future of TV production. I believe the lockdown has proven that smaller production houses are extremely nimble. Our size makes us able to pivot and adapt in order to produce the quality programming viewers expect.”
